Favorite Summer Things

While I’m sleeping off my night shift, here are my favorite Summer things that I’m currently loving.

1. Maxi dresses and skirts. I’m absolutely in love with the maxi this Summer. I have a couple of maxi dresses and one skirt and I love them. They are perfect to wear for the Summer. Comfortable, versatile and fashionable.

2. The song “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke. I can’t seem to get that song out of my head. I love it. It’s racy, cheeky, a perfect Summer song. This is the first time I’ve seen the video, interesting.

3. The book “Valley of the Dolls” by Jacqueline Susann. I’m just finishing reading it for my book club and I’m loving it. Perfect Summer read.

4. I originally just had Scandal (I recently finished both seasons of the tv show Scandal and I’m hooked. I can’t wait for the new season to start. I love Kerry Washington/Olivia Pope’s wardrobe :)!!!!) as my must see show for the Summer, but I would be lying if I didn’t include The Following (I have to turn the house alarm on and lock all doors before I watch it), Game of Thrones (absolutely love it), and Rookie Blue (I’m a sucker for a man in a uniform and it’s Canadian!!!).

5. Last buy not least a Cosmo. You can’t go the Summer without enjoying a Cosmo or two or three.

On Saturday July 13, my blog is turning 1:). I can’t believe it!!! It started off as a small blog but has grown in its popularity. As thank you and to celebrate I’m doing 3 giveaways this week!!! Woohoo!!! The first one is sadly only open to lower Mainland residents. I’m giving away 12 large cupcakes or 24 mini cupcakes decorated as you wish. Contest runs from today Monday July 8, 2013 to Sunday July 14 Midnight PST. The winner will be drawn the same day and will be notified via email.     So many of my friends love the Following and Scandal too - I haven’t gotten into either yet but I think Scandal will be on my list soon. And our blogs share an anniversary!!! Mine turns 1 this month too :) Congrats!!

    Hi Agi. First off Happy 1st Birthday to your Great Blog & many many more!! 2ndly you look Fab in your Maxi paired with the Cobalt Blazer. Every time I wear Cobalt Blue I think of you (it is so Your Color). 3rd I entered for your cupcakes. I am dying to try them so I hope I win.     I love that song too! I rock out to it every time it comes on the radio! I recently started watching Scandal and I’m hooked! Almost done with season 2 :) And Rookie Blue is one of my favorite summer shows! We are like twins! lol
