We celebrated Spring a few days ago and I thought it would be nice to introduce a new series about transitioning your Winter wardrobe to Spring. I pretty much live in my wool Winter coat from November until the beginning of March. Once the weather starts to warm up, I like to start wearing a lighter coat. A trench coat is the perfect transition piece. It’s warm enough when you add layers underneath it to keep you warm when the weather is still a bit cold, but cool enough to wear once it starts to warm up.
I bought my pink trench coat a couple of Springs ago. I was needing a new jacket and I was just going to get the standard neutral trench coat but then when I was in the store, accompanied by my husband and son, my vote was vetoed and both boys voted for me to purchase this pink one. I have to say that initially I was very apprehensive about wearing it. I realized that this is a jacket that people notice, it doesn’t blend into the background. Once I got over that, I love wearing it. I get tons of complements on it. It’s also a great way to add some colour to your outfit.

This is gorgeous! I have a striped trench and had the same problem at first - it wasn’t black and unnoticeable. But now I love that it stands out in a crowd of black coats!

Love your pink trench- what a nice pop of color! I live in my North Face parka during the winter months so I get my pop of color by adding my pink Kate Spade bag to it! I’ve got a trench/spring coat on my list and these are some beautiful options!
